The Heide collection is based on the modernist feel and types of furniture found in Modern Australian homes of the 1930-50’s. Largely based on the ‘Heide Movement’ of Australian artists; this group were also colloquially known as the ‘angry penguins’ which is also the name of a publication they produced. We want this collection to be presented as a ‘fresh and new way of thinking’.
